Welcome to Westlake Chaps Connect (WCC)
Due to COVID-19, at-risk children and young adults were one of the first groups to enter quarantine and will be the last ones to leave. Right now, it is harder for them to create and maintain meaningful relationships when they are confined to the hospital or their home. Our goal is simple; to help these kids create new friendships, bonding over projects/activities that make them happy. We want to support them in this tough time, and in the years to come. Westlake Chaps Connect strives to be the time they get to let loose and have fun. These resilient young people will inspire us and hopefully will cherish the time they spend with us. Westlake Chaps Connect will bridge the gap between at-risk kids and their peers during a time when we can all benefit from more love, understanding, and compassion.
WCC currently is partnering with Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. We are actively seeking more partnerships with other pediatric organizations in Central Texas to impact as many at-risk children as we can. If you are a parent whose child is interested in participating in our program, please fill out the link HERE!
Who is in charge of WCC?
The people who manage WCC are called Coordinators. Our coordinators here are passionate to provide hope during these challenging times:
WCC is strictly a subprogram of Westlake for Wishes. We are not directly affiliated with the Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas chapter and are managed by Westlake for Wishes. Our purpose is to be able to serve all children and young adults who are at severe risk for COVID-19 who are confined to their homes.
